BSNL Casual Contract Workers Federation, yesterday submitted the memorandum to Ms. Anita Johri, CGM(SR&Restg.), on the issue of payment of pending wages to the contract workers.

It has come from various circles, that the vendors are yet to paid of all pending wages for the financial year of 2023 – 24. Com.Animesh Mitra, Secretary General, BSNLCCWF and Com.John Verghese, Acting General Secretary, met the CGM(SR & Restg.) and discussed on the issue. CGM has also shown her interest to settle the issue. During discussion, it was pointed out by the Federation that specific instruction should be issued to all CGMT for proper guideline for payment of wages and social securities to the labours engaged in SLA system. After careful study of the Union letter, CGM agreed to issue one more letter in this regard.
