We had been drawing the attention of CMD BSNL on number of occasions to review the effectiveness of SLA system. The Management assured on implementation of the SLA system that, there would be fast fault restoration and the wages of the contract labourers would be paid on time. But in reality, it has been found that, neither the fault restoration is being done in fast pace nor the contract labourers are getting their wages in time. It has also been observed that almost all the vendors are violating Labour Laws of our country. They depriving the labourers from the social securities and even they are paying less wages than they have committed to pay in the tender document. We have also observed that a huge number of customers are leaving BSNL connection for not getting the 4G/5G service. Even they are not getting the proper service from the existing 2G/3G services due to non-restoration of faults. Our Federation has also suggested to utilise our workers in the field of FTTH connections. Under this circumstance, BSNLCCWF has written a letter to CMD to review the SLA system since it has no effectiveness and to reintroduce the JCL system.
