We are observing that after implementation of SLA system the vendors are very much reluctant to abide by the Labour Laws of our country. They are even paying less wages to the labourers by not giving any pay slip to them. They are not even paying any amount towards social securities e.g., EPF, ESI etc. and also VDA. But the BSNL management keeping a safe distance or not discharging the role of a principal employer. Thus, the vendors are getting a free hand to exploit the contract labourers. Which is contrary to the Labour Laws. Hence, BSNLCCWF has written to CMD in this regard and demanded that the BSNL management should take care of it.
