CMD BSNL had given the assurance but the problem related to payment of pending wages is not yet settled.

It is unfortunate that the contract workers in some circles are still waiting to get their pending wages since February, 2021. The matter was discussed in so many occasions with the CMD BSNL and we got the assurance for payment within a reasonable time. But, it is unfortunate that the payment of the contract workers is still pending for more than 16 months in some circles. We are also getting complaints that even after the introduction of the SLA system, the contract workers engaged the new system, are also not getting their wages regularly. Com.V.A.N. Namboodiri, President and Com.Animesh Mitra, Secretary General, discussed the matter with the CMD BSNL on 28th April, 2022 and handed over a memorandum on this subject.
