Contract Workers are still in difficult condition to get the pending wages- com. P. Abhimanyu, and com. Animesh Mitra, Secretary General, met PGM(Finance) on 20th March, 2025, but situation has not changed till date.

On 20th March, 2025, com. P. Abhimanyu, President and com. Animesh Mitra, Secretary General, met Sr. GM (CBB) and submitted the union memorandum for payment of pending wages for the Contract Workers. During discussions, we have pointed out that some circles like Kolkata Telephones, Jharkhand, Telangana, Maharashtra, West Bengal, etc. are in serious position due to not payment of pending wages since April, 2024, In reply, PGM (Finance) had stated that action will be taken in phased manner for allotting of budget to the circles. But it is unfortunate that the financial year 2024-2025 has completed but no such active action has been taken by Corporate Office to clear the pending wages of Contract Workers. Circle Secretaries are requested to submit a detailed report on the subject to the CHQ by mentioning the name of the vendors and how months payments are pending. We will pursue to matters with Director (HR) in next week.
