Extended Circle working committee meeting of BSNLCMU, WB circle held at Kolkata on 21-22nd June 2025..

The CWC Meeting of  BSNLCMU, WB circle was started through a massive gathering of contract and casual workers at CTO gate, CGMT office on 21th June, 2025, where com Animesh Mitra, Secretary General, BSNLCCWF delivered the important speech related to sufferings of casual contract workers due to pro corporate policies of Modi Govt and the upcoming 9th July strike Programme. Com. Sujoy Sarkar, CS, BSNLEU, Com.Tapas Ghosh, CS, BSNLCMU and Com. Omprakash Singh, President, AIBDPA, were the other speakers who had also called upon the workers to built-up the unity and struggle for changing this situation. The delegates session was started through submission of secretariat report by Com. Tapas Ghosh, CS. Com. Nemai Das, Treasure, had also submitted the accounts for the FY 24-25. It is about 32 delegates from 23 districts had participated in the discussion for organizational report and had also suggested for conducting agitational programme at all level. Payment of pending wages, violation of labour laws by the vendors, 7th CPC wages for wages and utilization of casual contract workers in day to day MTCC Work in BSNL etc., are the main issues on which the delegates had shared their views. They had also supported the resolution for joining strike on 9th July 25. The CEC meeting had condemned the labour code bill as it has introduced by Modi Govt. The two days enthusiastic CEC meeting was concluded at K G Bose Bhawan on 21st June after taking the decisions to strengthen the organization and also conducting of future actions to address the concerns of casual contract workers in BSNL.
