Jharkhand circle union of BSNLCCWF organised its Extended CWC meeting at Ranchi on 23rd March.

In Jharkhand circle, the Dainik Bhogi Mazddor union is continuing their struggle for the payment of pending wages of the contract workers. In the meantime, the union have got the Supreme Court verdict for re-engagement and regularization of contract workers. To review all these items, the CWC Meeting was held at Ranchi Union office and Com. Bhawan Singh, President Dainik Bhogi Mazdoor presided over the meeting.

The Circle office bearers and District union leaders came in the meeting to emphasize on to take some needful action for achieving the genuine demands considering the present situation. Contract workers from Daltalganj, Palamou, Dhanbad, Hazaribag, Ranchi attended the meeting. It was reported in the meeting that the management is downsizing the number of contract workers after introduction of SLA System. Com. Animesh Mitra Secretary General of BSNLCCWF narrated in details the present situation in BSNL and the Role of Govt/ Management also. He also explained the labour code Bill which is going to be introduced by the BJP Govt. He called upon the workers for joining the strike on 20th May by the Central Trade unions. Com. Bhwan Singh concluded the meeting with a call for mobilisation of workers at CGMT and RLC office in the month of April,2025.
