Massive demonstration programme of BSNL Contract Workers. In Tamil Nadu circle on 9th April, 2024- TNCWU demands payment of pending wages and implementation of social securities.

It was the decision of the Circle Conference of TNTCWU to organize the Agitational Programme for payment of pending wages of the Contract Workers in BSNL. Accordingly, the co-ordination of BSNLEU, Tamil Nadu circle and TNTCWU has given a call for statewide demonstration programme on the 9th April, 2024. This programme was organized in all district & SSAs of Tamil Nadu circle. The leadership had submitted the memorandum on payment of pending wages and implementation of EPF & ESI to the local authority at SSA level. The Workershaveshown its strong resentment for payment of Wages and not implementation of social securities. It is unfortunate that the local administration has not taken any active and effective steps though the CGM, Tamil Nadu circle has issued orders to all GMs to take proper action on payment of pending wages and implementation of EPF/ESI.
