An online CEC meeting of BSNLCCWF was held on 25.02.2026 to review the preparations for the National Convention to be held on 7th March 2026 in Delhi. Com. P. Abhimanyu, President, presided over the meeting and Com. Animesh Mitra, Secretary General, elaborated in detail on the arrangements being made for the successful conduct of the Convention. It has been reported that around 300 contract and casual labourers from various circles across the country are expected to participate in the Convention. The Convention will deliberate on crucial issues such as the retrenchment of contract workers, revision of wages for casual labourers, abolition of the Four Labour Codes and proper utilisation of casual and contract workers in BSNL. The programme will commence sharply at 11:00 AM at HKS Bhawan, New Delhi (near ITO). The main speakers of the Convention will be Com. Tapan Sen, Vice President, CITU, Com. K. Hemlatha, Vice President, CITU, Com. P. Abhimanyu, President, BSNLCCWF and Com. Animesh Mitra, General Secretary, BSNLEU. It has also been decided that a memorandum highlighting the demands of casual and contract workers in BSNL will be submitted to the CMD BSNL and the CLC (C), New Delhi. A poster has already been released to publicise the programme at the All India level. All CHQ office bearers and Circle Secretaries of BSNLCCWF are requested to take appropriate and proactive steps to ensure the grand success of the Convention.
