Payment of Gratuity for Casual Labours- Com. Animesh Mitra, Secretary General, BSNLCCWF, met the BSNL Management for fund amendment.

It has become a bad practice for the Corporate Office not to sanction the fund for the gratuity payment for the Casual Labours who have retired from the department or expired. Though, the Corporate Office had extended the facility of gratuity to the Casual Labours in BSNL after amendment of Gratuity Act of BSNL for the regular staff. But it is unfortunate that the management is not allotting sufficient fund for gratuity payment to the Casual Labours in due time. On 23rd November, 2023, Com. Animeh Mitra, SG, met Shri P.C. Bhatt, PGM (CBB), BSNL, and discussed on the subject. A letter was also submitted to him with a request for immediate release of fund.
